„Herona SKH“ (Cornet Obolensky – Carthago – Corofino I) was born 2015 at the Krohn Stable. After a successful repurchase from France, she has been used as a broodmare for us since 2023. She got 3 foals and is expecting a foal by “ZUCCERO” (Zirocco Blue SF – Caretino – Contender), due date 01.02.2024.
The mother „Verona XIII“ was born in 2005 in the case of Gert Jan Brunink from Bedum (NL) and came 2008 from the Netherlands to our stable, where we have used her as a broodmare. She gave us nine foals, such as:
2009 “Quickborn 7” by Quidam de Revel

• successful in international show jumping competitions up to 140 cm
2010 “Gray Storm” by Diamant de Semilly
• successful in international show jumping competitions up to 145 cm
2014 “Zero 24” by Zandor Z
• 2019 in the final at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf with Teike Carstensen, 8th place
• successful in international show jumping competitions up to 140 cm

• approved stallion 2020 in Holstein
Unfortunately “Verona XIII” died after a short illness in the beginning of 2020.
“Herona SKH” comes from the Holstein line 7299, which was bred in Wiemerstedt by Gerd Hansen for several years. In this line tow mares are of particular importance. First, the mare “Vanessa“, born 1983 and second, the mare “Zukunft“, born 1985 both by Caletto II out of “Orgesch” from Calypso I.
The mare “Vanessa” is the mother of the stallions “Indoctro I and II“. The very popular stallion “Indoctro I” was at home in the Netherlands at the VDL Stud, Wiebke van de Lageweg, for several years. In the USA he led the breeding ranking for some time. Exspeciually due to the reliable inheritance of his jumping ability and his fighting spirit, “Indoctro I” was a very popular stallion with impressive 5.000 offsprings.
The mare “Zukunft” is amongst others mother of the mare “Eira” (by Alcatraz), who covered by Lasino produced “Lord Luis” with which Alois Pollmann-Schweckhorst and Lars Nieberg were able to win several jumping competitions with heights of 160 cm. Here are just a few notable achievements of “Lord Luis”:
– 1st place at the Jumping World Cup in Italy (2008)
– 2nd place at the Nation Cup of Abu Dhabi (2010)
– 1st place at the Grand Prix of Braunschweig (2010)
– 2nd place at the Grand Prix of Mannheim (2010)
– 3rd place at the Grand Prix of Brussels (2010)
– 2nd place at the Grand Prix of Mechelen (2010)
